Tara Hannigan - Vice President/Chief Operating Officer

Tara Hannigan – Manager

Tara Hannigan Vice President/Chief Operating Officer

Tara plays a key role in the tactical strategy for Swift Environmental Equipment.  Currently Tara and Sean are developing  Swift’s five year business strategic growth plan. Tara is responsible for creating a conducive connection between Swift’s team and the industry it serves, ensuring that Swift’s corporate culture is congruent with best business practises.   Within this plan her initial project undertaking is to highlight Swift’s corporate culture within the company and the industry.  Also in the works is the advancement of procedure and processes in Swift’s Export department. Tara thrives on building efficient and effective business foundations.

Tara has enjoyed the rare gift of living out her passions.  On a quest for technical knowledge, Tara pursued an education in microcomputers.  As a pioneer in the world of desktops computers, she excelled at her first role as an adult educator of software applications such as Word, Excel, Paradox and Dbase.  Tara’s next career adventure was software program development for the Internal Audit department of the Alberta Liquor Control Board.   She had thought this job would offer special perks in the product department, however instead she developed a software program that allowed the auditors to investigate potential theft within the liquor stores.

From the unspoiled ravines of the North Saskatchewan River, to the pristine frontier of North Shuswap Lake, to the heritage prairies of Sherwood Park, Tara has spent most of her free time in the country.  Tara has a great love for nature, and has shared this with her three children.

Tara’s IT background has brought technology to the Swift’s office operations.  With her love of nature and appreciation for sustainable innovations she is Sean’s biggest cheerleader when Swift brings new product to market.
